Solving One Step Equations:

In this section you will solve one step equatinos in one variable by using addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Keywords:

Equation - An equation is a mathematical statement that two expressions are equal.

Solution - A solution of an equation is the value of the variable that makes the equation true.

To find solutions, isolate the variable. A variable is isolated when it appears by itself on one side of the equation alone, and not at all on the other side. To isolate the variable, do the inverse operation.

Always remember - Whatever you do to one side of an equation, you MUST do to the other side!
